# Motivation for this document

The reason for me writing this is to share with you what I value in life and how I like to work.&nbsp; People only get upset when either implied or explicit expectations are not met.&nbsp; As I have advanced in my career, I have become more direct in my communication.

I believe being up front and honest with expectations is the best way to communicate.&nbsp; I value relationships.&nbsp; Not only with my employees and co-workers, but mostly with my God and my family.&nbsp;

A good leader admits when he's wrong and leads by example.&nbsp; A good leader isn't a "know-it-all" but one who is willing to listen and values others' ideas and opinions.

# What do I value most?

I value my relationship with God and then my family most.&nbsp; I value my relationship with others and the community I serve.&nbsp; We only have one life to live and living it to the fullest is what I plan on doing.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Time is a valuable commodity.&nbsp; There's 24 hours in a day, 168 hours in a week, 730 hours in a month, and 8,760 hours in a year.&nbsp; Make each moment count by the decisions you make.

# My Expectations

I believe in&nbsp;giving you the tools and support you need to get the job done and reach your goals. Micromanagement is not by style, but I will hold you accountable and I expect you to hold me accountable.&nbsp; Doing what you say you're going to do is important to me and you can count on me doing what I say I'm going to do. **&nbsp;**  
  
I am so grateful to have my health and to be able to work in a career I love.&nbsp; I enjoy getting up and getting to work everyday to help make a difference in peoples lives around the world.&nbsp; I move fast and at times expect everyone around me to move just as fast, but with personal growth I have come to the understanding,&nbsp;everyone doesn't have to be just like me :-).&nbsp; With that said, I do expect you to do your job with efficiency, accuracy, and with some sense of urgency.

I work best with everyone rowing in the same direction with the same mission in mind.&nbsp; Not looking to criticize, but to work in tandem to accomplish the goals at hand.&nbsp; I like collaboration of efforts and making sure everyone is doing their part all the way from the bottom to the top of the organization.

Finally, I consider myself to be a&nbsp;constant thinker and "change agent" looking to do bigger and better things.&nbsp;&nbsp;I want to surround myself around people who have a passion for innovation and not doing things the way we always have done them for the sake of tradition.

I enjoy having 1:1s to get to know others both professionally as well as professionally.&nbsp; If you ever have something that's on your mind and that you'd like to share, I am always available and will listen.&nbsp;

- I will ask you several times for an answer if I don't believe my question(s) have not been responded to in a timely fashion
