# Motivation for this document

A simple introduction of myself and&nbsp;expectations when working with me.

# About Me

I&nbsp;live in Fremont, CA, also known here as the east bay. I have a wife and 2 young kids who are about 11 and 7 years old. We love the outdoors and especially the beach and water. More recently we have been contemplating living closer to the beach. I&nbsp;love to travel and can't wait till I&nbsp;feel comfortable traveling again. I really like food and was a Yelp Elite member in 2014-2016. I&nbsp;pretty much lost it once I had my first son and we stopped going out as much and I didn't have much time to write reviews as I&nbsp;used to. I&nbsp;love exploring new types of foods and will try almost anything at least once.&nbsp;

I&nbsp;love sports and enjoy playing them more than watching in general. I&nbsp;like to play basketball, soccer, tennis, golf,&nbsp;and volleyball. I&nbsp;enjoy watching basketball the most, but also any major game that is on.

# My role

Team happiness is my primary responsibility. Ensuring the team is happy when they are working with each other. Creating a safe environment and culture discussing problems, ideas, and solutions. There is no such thing as a stupid question or idea. Everyone is heard and&nbsp;is respected.&nbsp;

Developing and empowering team members toward ownership of their projects. Delivering projects and meeting team goals. Assisting the team by unblocking them, improving their productivity, and shielding them from noise.&nbsp;

Guiding individuals and assisting them with their individual growth path and meeting their personal goals. Providing continuous feedback to individuals on a regular basis.

Communicating with other teams and building key relationships.&nbsp;

# What do I value most?

I value honesty and transparency. Let's build a strong and healthy relationship where we feel comfortable to be open and direct while being respectful of each other. Let's openly chat about fears, concerns, and issues, so we can better understand and work with each other.&nbsp;

# My Expectations

If you need to chat with me then direct messages are the quickest method. If it's something that can wait, then please schedule time on my calendar and send me a direct message to ensure I received the meeting invitation.&nbsp;

Take accountability of your actions without making excuses or blaming. Let's find out how we can do things better and more productive and let's share our learnings with the team to ensure we all learn together.&nbsp;

I don't need to be involved in everything you are working on, but I would like to be informed about decisions that are made. It's important that I am included in conversations, designs, and architecture where there are significant impacts on the business.&nbsp;

# 1:1s

1:1s are crucial to develop our relationship and work on adhering to personal goals. I&nbsp;believe they should be held weekly for 30 minutes and not skipped. This is your time and these meetings should be driven by you. The focus of the meetings is up to you and we chat about anything on your mind.&nbsp;

If I&nbsp;have anything I would like to add to the agenda, then I will try to let you know beforehand. I&nbsp;will always spend a portion of the meeting chatting about any updates I&nbsp;may have or feedback. I&nbsp;believe in continuous feedback.
