# Priscilla's Manager Readme

**Head of Experience at SP Group**

# Motivation for this document

This README is for my Experience Design Team. I'm sharing my working style and values, as well as what you can expect from me, so that we can have a great working relationship!

# My role

1. Nurture a [growth mindset](https://hbr.org/2016/01/what-having-a-growth-mindset-actually-means) in you and help you grow in your profession, so that you can reach your career goals.
2. Create the best UX team in the region.
3. Enable you and the team to help our organisation create great products for people.

# What do I value most?

1. **Team Culture.** Enjoy each others' company, play to our strengths and weaknesses, work better together than individually.
2. **Reliability.** Get things done on time and meet expectations. No one likes working with an unreliable team member.
3. **Speed.** Delivering fast with consistent quality and therefore inherently means you need to be efficient.
4. **User-Centered.** Understand who we design for, what problems we are trying to solve and represent them accurately.
5. **Data Driven.** Tie your efforts back to measurable outcomes.

# My Expectations

I expect you to own your career and journey. I can be your sounding board, provide guidance and give you the opportunities to grow. In return, I expect you to align with the team and company objectives.

# 1:1s

1. Bi-Weekly 1:1s, this is for you and you own the agenda.
2. I may message you outside working hours but you are not obligated to reply. If it is urgent, I will say so but this is rare.
3. I have strong opinions, but they are weakly held. I enjoy having my perspectives changed or expanded. You can help by providing more context and your opinions.

# Personality quirks

1. [Lean](https://blog.spdigital.io/lean-design-e596835dec56). Learn - Build - Measure.
2. Leadership style is [Coach](https://www.geteverwise.com/leadership/moving-toward-a-coaching-style-leadership/), I provide guidance based on your personal and the team goals, then I get out of the way and guide/cheer from the sidelines.
3. My MBTI profile is [ENTP](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ENTP), T being the highest.
4. [CliftonStrengths](https://www.gallupstrengthscenter.com/home/en-us/cliftonstrengths-themes-domains): Strategic, Activator, Self-Assurance, Significance, Adaptability.

# Where to focus on your first 90 days?

Talk to the team to understand our team goals, priorities and the way we work. Understand our stakeholders and their goals. Understand our customers through previous user research. Understand WHY things are the way it were before suggesting change.
