# Motivation for this document

**I can do or I can teach. It's amazing how that works.**

# My role

**I wake up at 4 AM to fix everything everyone else broke, and make sure everyone knows it. If you're on my team, you're going to get yelled at. Handling that with grace and humility will keep you employed. If you screw up on my watch, you're going to be awarded the Trophy, and all your coworkers will be notified that you've let a bug reach production.**

# What do I value most?

**I value tranquility and positive interactions with my coworkers. Aw, who am I kidding? I value myself and my team above everything else. Write simple code, not OOP spaghetti. Push straight to production as fast as possible. Skip the unit tests, you don't need 'em. I guess you could say I value velocity, and hate time wasted on planning.**

# My Expectations

**I expect that you'll complete every task on time and within my story point budget. All tasks are 1 story point. You should be flexible in your needs and work around mine. If you get Stage Four Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma more than once, I'm gonna tell you to walk it off. It's my way, or the highway.**

# 1:1s

**I don't do this, unless you're in trouble. If you're in trouble, bring ear plugs.**

# Personality quirks

**You'd have to ask my coworkers, but I think they'd say I have a delightful presence. I'm always willing to fix what I broke. Nobody loves this company more than me. **

# Where to focus on your first 90 days?

**Your first 90 days are going to be hell. Between project setup and casual racism or sexism, your head is gonna be on a swivel. I retain the good ones and throw the rest back in the lake. If you mention AWS Glue or SQS to me, you're fired. So don't waste your time studying. Just get in there and code. **
